Nicholas is available to speak to adults, parents and older persons on a number of topics including:

  • Loved The Movie – Hated The Book: A Professional Seminar for Film Buffs and the Uninitiated on the Joys of Looking at Films.
  • Taking The Grandchildren To The Movies: The Excitement and Joys.
  • Reviewing Current Video Resources For Teaching Cultural Diversity: Selection and Utilization.
  • Organizing A Film Society For Older Persons.

Nicholas Spillios B.A., B.Ed., Msc. Ed., M.Ed.

Nicholas was Supervisor of Learning Resources for the Edmonton Public School Board. He is currently on the Edmonton Film Society Board, Vice-President of the Canadian Multicultural Education Foundation and Past President of the Alberta Association for Multicultural Education, Director of the Alberta Association For Media Awareness, Program Coordinator for the Society of Instructional and Educational Technology, President of the Alberta Hellenic Canadian Congress and Director on the Friends of Canadian Libraries Board.

He is a freelance film reviewer and has continued his interest in film by regularly attending the Toronto Film Festival where he retains his press accreditation.
